Our Services

Property Services

Buying or selling a property can be a stressful time.  If you are looking to buy or sell a home, to remortgage or you have paid off your mortgage and are perhaps thinking of downsizing or transferring property to your children we can guide you through the process.  Our estate agency manager Sean Greenwood can advise you on marketing your own property, allowing a seamless sale from valuation to handing over the keys.

We can also set up a tenancy agreement for you if you are renting out a property and advise you on the rules and regulations you need to comply with.

Making a Will

Making a Will can ensure that your family is protected in the event of your death and can makes things easier for your family at a difficult time.  Family situations are becoming ever more complex and we can provide you with sensitive and practical advice to ensure that you have a Will which reflects your wishes.  Our experienced solicitors can also advise you on related issues such as making a Power of Attorney, Living Wills and planning for the future.

Powers of Attorney

Powers of Attorney are essential in planning for the future.  In Scotland, no one has legal authority to act on your behalf if you lose the capacity to make decisions yourself – not even your spouse or children. We can advise you and set up a Power of Attorney to give a trusted person the ability to make decisions about your care, medical treatment and financial matters.

Executry Services

We appreciate that the period of time after a death can be very stressful and difficult for families.  We can take away the stress of knowing what to do next by assisting executors and families to deal with a deceased’s person’s estate sensitively and efficiently.  We can guide you through the whole process from registering the death, arranging the funeral, valuing the estate, obtaining Confirmation (Probate) from the court, dealing with any Inheritance Tax and distributing the estate to beneficiaries.

Family Law

We can provide friendly and sensible advice on divorce and separation and the options available to you.  We can draft a separation agreement on your behalf and our integrated service allows us to deal with any related issues such as the transfer of any properties and remortgages.

Business Law

We are regularly instructed by local businesses (sole traders, limited companies and partnerships) and can offer practical advice on the formation and management of limited companies, company secretarial services, the creation, management and enforcement of contracts and employment law.  We also have particular expertise in advising clubs, associations and charities on their formation, constitutions, registration and licensing.

Commercial Property

We regularly act in the sale, purchase and lease of commercial property both for landlords and for tenants.
